An important community announcement by Tara Killian:
“Mountain Mutual Aid Network will be holding our second annual Free Market on February 6th at Lulubelle’s Coffee and Bakery.
The “Free Market movement,” originally begun by Food Not Bombs, seeks to inspire community sharing and solidarity by countering the scarcity model upheld by capitalism. Free Markets are not charity, but a collective effort by the community to ensure wellness and comfort for all.
Mountain Mutual Aid Network, consisting of a small group of volunteers, has collected donations of clothing and goods from across the mountain communities; we continue to humbly accept donations of and for nonperishable food to also distribute.
All are welcome to attend the Free Market from 2-4 PM, but please wear a mask and respect social distancing. We take care of us!”
